Hallelujah Night means I am supper

That's right, there is a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the taters and gravy!!!

Yes, I was a white-tailed buck (a buck, big trophy hunters only get bucks!) this year, and we had our number one hunter as well.

But the scariest of all....

Alert Alert Alert
This contains material not suitable for small children...
You may want to sit down for this one!!!

No, not the face, what is written on the face!!!

That's my hubby with that ugly graffiti on his face!!!

Yes, I'll probably have nightmares about this ugly, ugly shirt!

And you see what the great hunter was going to do about it!!!

Just a note for those of you who don't know us, or have never read this, we have an Alabama room, bathroom, our living room is Crimson and Gray, and our son's middle name is Bryant!!!

We are true Bama fans, we do bleed Crimson, and Bama is Dixie's football pride, CRIMSON TIDE!

Whew, RTR baby!

Also, if you don't know us, we are all quite the witty bunch, and D thought it'd be hilarious to show up at our church wearing such an awful color!!!

And let's just say, he got lots of attention, as did we all 3!

Anyway...

Noah and I did bring home the 2nd place title this year, which was an honor because we were up against some mighty hefty competition!!!

We had a wonderful evening full of fun Christian games and fellowship!!!

So happy for the harvest time, and the fall, and the time to remember that we are to let the light of Jesus shine!

The special of the day...

Yes, I am doing my best to teach him how to cook, because I am afraid that when he gets married, the poor girl won't know how to cook, and I want him to eat!!!

Really, he begs me to let him help. He keeps wanting to wear the apron my niece made me, but I just can't let him; it's too girly, and I don't want him confused, so maybe I can get her to make him an apron out of camo, that can be used outside in the garden, and in the shed?!?!? We have a Bama one, but I'm sure his daddy doesn't want it removed from the "room!" I've done a couple of pictures on here of it, but I should really do a post soon on our Bama room!!!

Anyway, I just thought he was such a doll browning that meat, that I just had to share it on here!!!

And oh yeah, supper was delicious!

Party Hardy!!!

When asked what he wanted for his birthday, my son requested a new pet!!! I explained to him that he already has a dog, and fish, and that he may not be able to care for any other pets at this time. Well, lo and behold, my darling husband brings home a pet for him on his birthday!!!
Meet Julio Dareus Givens
(yes named for Julio Jones and Marcell Dareus!!! RTR!)
Does anyone have, or has anyone had rabbits who could tell me if they need vet services/shots/meds? We still haven't built his pen yet either....any advice? Poor JD lives in a dog carrier (well, mainly in our laps/hands) for the time being!!!
Anyway, Noah's next request was to go to Ci-Ci's for supper on his 6th birthday, so since we had a coupon, we took off. This day was probably like a dream to him!

See the crown his teacher made him at school? Wasn't that sweet of her?!

Then, we woke up Saturday morning ready for a party!
See, he waits very proper and patiently!
He then puts on his camo shirt, and is ready!!!

A real hunting party!!!
Oh yeah, and all of the brown icing on the cake is chocolate, not just brown regular icing!!! Indeed, it was delicious!

And the main event that we kept a secret from Noah, the jumpy things!!!
A couple at our church, (Noah was in their wedding!), recently got these, and they are going to start renting them! They gave us a very very good deal!

Noah did this all day!

And, after many of our guests left, MaMa couldn't hold back anymore either!!!
And we even talked these two "older" kids into joining us!!!

If you don't hear any more from me, it's because my parents have come and taken my computer away!!! hehehe.

All in all, I'd say my little man had a great day. We had friends, family, cake, presents, fun, and blessings.

Happy 6th Birthday Mr. Noah Bryant!

Terrific twos!

This is me and my dear sweet nephew, Anthony, in October 2008...
(and yes, I am kissing that baby's lips!!!)

...and here's the little booger now!!!
Today Anthony turns two!!!
We celebrated this event last weekend with a two-two train party!

Two-Two---all aboard!

There was some of this...

...and this...

...and this...

...but mainly this!!!

And what two-two train party would be complete without this?

See the napkin...

...now see the cake! Amazing!

Happy Birthday to you!

Here's Anthony's piece!

This is one bbq, icing, & dirt covered, not to mention tired little boy...
Happy 2nd Birthday Anthony, and I wish you many more!

October 14, 1970

That's the day my hubby was born....and 40 years later, I threw him a party!!! I want to share the couple of pictures I have, it turns out that when you throw a big party with 70+ people, you don't have time to wander around and take pictures. I should've turned my camera over to someone else, but didn't even think of that!!!

Happy Birthday D, and many many more!

The olden days

I was going through some old pictures recently on my Aunt's computer. There are so many pictures she had on it, but I happened upon these two, and couldn't resist!!! hehehe.
Look at my little boy at 2 months old!!!
What were we thinking?!?!

I love this one. He was five months old. He'll be 6 years old this month!!! Wow!

I am amazed at how fast he has grown over the years. And I'm not really sure how I made it before he was born! Wow. I am just floored!

So so blessed!

Happy Birthday Na-Na!

My Na-Na is a jewel!

Last night for her birthday, D, N, and myself offered to take her any where in Baldwin County for supper. After hearing a little boy in the back say, "Oh, oh, try Burger King Na-Na, let's try Burger King." Na-na calmly states, "I believe I'd like Burger King!"

Typically, her Burger King meal consists of a buck double burger, and a senior soda. Last night, she ordered a meal, and when they handed her the cup, she almost fainted, and said I may have to help her finish it!!! bahahaha. Anywho, she finally finished her meal, and the cashier at Burger King gave Na-Na a free piece of pie too!!! It was so sweet.

And would you believe I was so caught up in the moment that I didn't even take a picture! For shame. Then, Na-Na said, "Let's go ride to the pier and the duck pond (Na-Na lives in Fairhope!) and let Noah see all the ducks!" He was in heaven!

Then we had to take her home because she was very tired!!!
And we wish her many more!
She is also the only person I know that can go to a grocery store, buy Heinz Ketchup (the 40 oz.), Oscar Meyer hotdogs, store brand buns, and a head of Dole lettuce and pay $0.82!!!

Still the champion!!!
I love you Na-Na!

A Revelation

God has been using the seasons to show me different things about Him.
This year, Fall has been the time!

Everywhere I turn around, I am reading about fall, or seeing pictures of fall, or hearing mention of fall.

God has merely showed me that this is a time to feel the refreshing of God. Also, it's harvest time. In the past I've barely given notice to fall, other than for football...hehe...but this year, it's been something I cannot get away from.

The refreshing of God.

Now, I know that Spring is the time for birth, and renewal and such, but refreshing is more in the sense of after the heat and work of summer, it's time for the refreshing.
And the harvest is plenty!!!

God, thank You for showing me Your ways, and for this revelation You have given me.

You make ALL THINGS NEW!

Thank You! Amen!
