Home Sweet Home!!!

We had a blast on vacation and we are now back to home sweet home! I am exhausted and refreshed! We went to Ocala, FL for 4 days and Ft. Walton Beach, FL for 3 days. Noah was so fun the whole time. We rode on glass bottom boats, visited a farm, swam in the pool, swam at the beach, went to Homossassa State Park and saw manatees, went to the Gulfarium, went to a drag racing museum, went to E-One (where they build firetrucks) and lots of other fun things. Like I said, exhausted. And of course, upon getting home, had 6 loads of laundry, the yard work, the housework, and the college girls softball tournament was on! Bama almost had it too! Like I said, a much needed vacation, but glad to be home.

For such a time as this...

I am just so happy. I got bags packed, grass cut, dog, fish, and plants taken care of, and I am ready to go!!!! Noah had a great last day of school. I know he will miss it, but breaks are always good. I am really looking forward to the fun week we are about to have. The past two vacations we have been on have been to TN with Derrick's family, and as fun as that is and as thankful as I am for going anywhere, I am glad that it's gonna just be us again! I like going different places, and I really like not having to worry about anything. Vacation to me means getting away from all stess and pressure...and outside parties!!! So, a week off is well deserved!!!

Excited!

I'm more excited today than ever! Saturday morning we will be headed out for vacation. Just me, Derrick, and Noah! Can't wait. I finally got to see Derrick last night, and we looked up some of the places we are going to go....and of course I was printing coupons for attractions and restaurants. Noah should have an absolute blast. Today I am going to get some last minute trip things we need. That's fun to me!!!

Tomorrow is Noah's last day of school. I still cannot believe it's over. It's like he just started. He'll get to be in the same program next year, and work more exclusively on speech. He had a good year though. A really good year!

Noah and I baked a cake yesterday...that's one of his favorite things in the world to do. He likes to add the ingredients, mix the batter (all by himself might I add) and help "decorate" with writing icing gel stuff. I hold my hand over his while we squeeze out supposed to be pictures!!!

Note the name, and clockwise from top...Buddy Boy (Noah's dog), Noah's age, Noah's face being happy, and Noah's ark!!!

Well, I guess that's it for now.

So much to do....

Golly, I have a lot to do! There are a billion places I have to go and a few people I have to call, just to keep everyone happy. We are leaving for vacation Saturday....which I am totally thankful for, but it's just always something. I'll be glad Saturday when I am driving south!!!

I also cannot believe Noah only has two days of school left. He has come such a long way this year, I hate to see it come to a close. His teachers were great, he made new friends, and so on.
Poor Derrick has been working crazy hours. He went in at 6:00 a.m. and left me a note saying that he didn't get home until 8:00 p.m.! I was at church (yes, our church has Tuesday night service instead of Wednesday nights) and when I came home he was asleep. A whole day of not talking to him is sad. Again, just thankful he has a job. Overtime is nice, but if it's killing you...well.

Vacation is much needed for us all. Noah out of school, Derrick off of work, and Tiffany out of the house and away from everyone! Just for a week. I know I will be homesick. But, it's so hard to fulfill all obligations all the time.

I enjoyed my class tonight. I teach the toddlers on Tuesday night at church. They are so innocent and impressionable. I love it! As corny as this sounds, those kids really make a difference in my life....it's supposed to be the other way around. Tonight we learned about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and how they praised God even in that fiery furnace! That's a great story. If you've never read Daniel 3, do so.

Afterwards, I ran into two guys I went to school with that I haven't seen forever. That was nice. It was really nice to know they were at church!

Hope someone is reading this and not thinking I am a total dweeb. It helps to get this stuff off of my mind. Espescially when I usually stay up and worry about what all there is to do! So many people I try to make happy all the time...something I wish I hadn't inherited from my mom. One of her best qualities (all of her qualities are best).

Tomorrow is a new day, and I am going to make the most of it!

So, I'm gonna do this!

Because I am always looking for stuff to do....yeah right....I decided to start a blog. Actually, I have a couple that I read on a daily basis, and I decided this might be something nice for me to do!!! So, here goes!
