A quarter of a century

July 23, 1985, Tiffany Anne Reed was born to Mr. & Mrs. P. Scot Reed!!! 25 years later, we celebrated that!!!

And the celebrating began the night of my birthday, with a wonderful purple surprise from my hubby!!!
The following day, my family threw me a party I will forever remember!
There was good food, good cake, and good times!!!

The young....
And old....

That's my dad on the left, and my uncle on the right.

My mom brought out some of her "older" skills too!!!
She made me this wonderful cake!

Me and my parents.
(Can't ya tell?!?!?!)

Me with my brother and sister.

They wanted a picture with just the kids.

And almost the whole bunch!!!

With a prayerful heart

While recently reading one of my favorite blogs about a lady and her family, and some of their happenings, her recent post had a prayer request at the end. It was for a family she knows who's 4 year old little girl, Hannah, has had a two year battle with brain cancer, and now they just found out it's back. The dad of the little girl also has a blog about their journey and faith. Again, I don't know any of these people, but while reading this, and watching a video of Hannah's princess birthday party, I have just been in tears. Watching this little suffering child, I was reminded of what is really important. The way my house looks, not important. Having a house, important. The way supper is ready when the smoke alarm goes off, not important. Having food, important. How much money we have, not important. Having a hard-working, healthy husband who has a job and is faithful to it, important. What clothes I have on, not important. However, it is important that I have something on!!! Looking my best all of the time, not important. Feeling my best all of the time, important. Having a child who is always perfect, not making mistakes, and a show-child, not important. Having a healthy, happy little boy who loves to learn, run, and play, and who has the ability to do these things, important.I also have a renewed compassion for people with sick children. Sometimes I maybe forget that my own child didn't talk for almost 3 years of his life!!! And was also told by a doctor that he might never do so. Well, let me be the one to tell you that I can't make him stop talking now!!! haha. Not that I want to. I waited so long to hear what he had to say, and I am thankful that he can say it!
So, I will now be praying for the Harrison family as often as I think of them, and I would like to ask you to do the same!

Also, please watch this video to see little Hannah at her birthday party. Get your tissues ready!

On the road again...

4th of July weekend, we headed back north to TN again, and had a wonderful time! We even went back to KY to Guntown Mountain, which I would highly recommend if you are in the area. While gone, Noah lost his first loose tooth, and he was super excited! Will post more later.

For over a year now, I have been enrolled at Family Ministries Bible Institute. This is a Bible School that our church has started. Right now, it's very small, and typically only offers one to two courses per sememster. I have taken the following courses:
  • Developing a Biblical World View
  • New Testament Survey
  • Strategies for Spiritual Warfare part 1
  • Strategies for Spiritual Warfare part 2
And currently I am taking
  • Introduction to Prophecy: Daniel and Revelation

So far, I have been doing pretty good in my studies, and I have either learned or been reminded of different ways to live in my daily walk with the Lord. This semester, however, is like Greek to me! It's not very common to discuss, and to me (I believe pre-trib rapture) it's really not gonna matter! Either way, I am learning, and Revelation 1:3 says whoever reads these words, and studies them will be blessed. So, I'm alright with it.

First we studied Daniel. I know all the stories in Daniel, but never really paid much attention to the prophetic messages in the book. Poor poor Daniel!!! Last night, we began Revelation. We did a basic brief overview of the book, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb was mentioned.

I said all of that to say this:

Actually, my fellow classmate said this:

We are the bride of Christ. At the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, we will be married to Jesus. Well, what is a wedding day good for? Mainly the Bride! It's her day! So just imagine what Jesus has in store for His bride!!!

If that don't make ya wanna go, I don't know what does!!!
